EWD to photograph Fishery Council events on Saipan and Guam

The Western Pacific Regional Fishery Management Council has hired EWD to photograph the annual Gupot Fanha’aniyan Pulan CHamoru (Chamorro Lunar Calendar Festival) to be held in Hagatna, Guam on January 30, 2011. The event celebrates the start of the lunar New Year and promotes the perpetuation of the Chamorro culture and sustainable use of natural resources. Copies of the 2011 Chamorro traditional lunar calendar will be distributed at the event.
EWD has also been commissioned to photograph the 3-day Green Sea Turtle Workshop to be held on January 25-27, 2011 in Saipan. Approximately 50 participants including cultural practitioners, fishermen, researchers, biologists and government representatives will be there from CNMI (Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands), Guam, American Samoa, Hawaii, Japan and the Philippines.
